Plunge into this stunning all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic stage show! When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau.
Audition Information
Auditions for all Ages!

Please sign up for an audition slot using the provided link.
During your audition slot you will perform a prepared audition song. Following your singing audition you will be taught a short dance combo. Auditioners should plan to stay for about 60-90 minutes for the audition process which includes the group dance portion.
Please prepare 60-90 seconds of a musical theater song of your choice. An accompanist will be provided; please bring sheet music that includes a piano accompaniment and is clearly marked with your cuts. Come prepared to move; wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Please bring either sneakers or dance shoes such as ballet or jazz shoes.

Invited callbacks will be Saturday March 22nd, 1pm to 6pm at Chanhassen High School in the Vocal/Orchestra rooms. You will be notified prior to callbacks if you need to attend and what times you are needed.

Rehearsal Schedule (Subject to Change)
Rehearsals will begin late April
Sunday: 4:00–8:00 PM
Monday–Thursday: 6:30–9:30 PM (Youth 12 and under will be released at 8:30 PM.)
Saturdays: May be added with adequate notice.
